Eligibility:

• Open to all currently enrolled college-level students (2026–27 academic year).

• Individual submissions only; one abstract per student.

• Registration is free.

Poster Requirements:

• Poster Content:

  • Background/Context – Explain the problem or challenge related to cold and icing.

  • Objective – State the purpose of your work.

  • Methods/Approach – Describe the approach, technology, or research methodology.

  • Key Findings or Expected Outcomes – Explain the outcomes or anticipated impact.

  • Relevance to Theme – Clearly connect your work to “Cold and Icing.”

• Posters may be created using the provided template.

  • Posters should be 36” x 48” in size and mounted for display. Thumbtacks will be provided.

  • Posters should be readable from a distance of 4 feet.

  • The poster should be balanced and organized in a logical, sequential order.

  • There should be more emphasis on graphics, tables, charts, and graphs. All visuals must be:

  • Clearly titled or captioned to explain what they show.

  • Cited properly if they are not your original work. Include the source directly below the image or in a small references section on the poster.

  • Photographs in addition to other illustrations may be used. Figures may be in color.

• A digital copy of the poster (.pptx or .pdf) must be submitted via the official submission portal by December 31st, 2026.

Submission Confirmation:

Students will receive an email confirmation upon successful submission. If confirmation is not received within 48 hours, contact social@elinorcoatings.com with proof of timely submission.

Review Process:

Posters will be evaluated by a professional panel consisting of academic, industry, and organizational representatives using the official Abstract Scorecard. Ten posters will be selected for poster presentation at the summit.

Notification & Next Steps:

• Selected students must submit a digital poster (PDF) and one-slide summary by December 31, 2026.

• Finalists will present their posters and give a 2–3-minute oral summary during the summit.

• First Place: $1,000

• Second Place: $500

• Third Place: $250

Additional Notes: 

• All posters must be the original work of the student(s). 

• Plagiarism or AI-generated content without proper citation will result in disqualification. 

• Participants are responsible for transporting and setting up their posters. 

• Submission does not guarantee display. The Aurora Cold Readiness Summit Student Poster Session judges reserve the right to decline any poster from being presented or displayed at the event for any reason, including but not limited to content, quality, or relevance.

• Confidentiality: Do not share or reproduce any content from posters or presentations without the presenter’s permission.

• Reporting Concerns: If you witness or experience any inappropriate behavior, please report it to event an Elinor Coatings organizer immediately.
