About the Role
This role will join a team of researchers to complete essential tasks such as assisting in sample preparation, conducting experiments, and maintaining laboratory equipment specific to the coatings industry.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed at all times while maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Maintain and update laboratory inventory, including receiving, organizing, and storing all chemicals substances according to safety instructions.
Perform sample preparation for coatings application.
Assist with laboratory testing and evaluation of coated samples including weathering, photography, and sample processing.
Calibrate instruments as needed.
Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures as needed.
Additional Duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required, college chemistry preferred
Experience in a hands-on, mechanical role
Previous experience in a scientific lab preferred
Ok with repetitive, scheduled work
Ability to take direction
Ability to maintain and fix equipment
Works well with coworkers
Computer literate with programs such as word, excel, etc.
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Good communication skills
