Elinor Coatings creates solutions for corrosion, degradation, and fouling through research in surface protection. We value environmental sustainability and conservation and diversity in backgrounds, experiences, and personalities. This role will join a team of researchers in developing new formulations of protective and anti-corrosion coatings for metals. Support long-term federal research contracts in aerospace and ground vehicle support.

About the Role

The Project Manager will assist with planning and management of research and testing projects, communicating project status internally and externally, improving project management best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Program Manager, Principal Investigator, and Team Leads in the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and time budgets in compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

  • Help coordinate internal resources for execution of projects.

  • Ensure communication related to project management, timelines, deliverables and resources with principal investigator, research director, and project manager.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.

  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.

  • Monitor and report on project progress using KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Conduct post-project evaluations and implement lessons learned.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. preferred B.S. in Chemistry, Engineering, Business Administration, or Management/Organizational Management

  • PMP Certification

  • 4+ years of experience in project management:

    • Preferably in the public sector (e.g. familiar with federal contracting requirements)

    • Proficiency in project management software tools

    • Previous work with cross-functional teams

    • Able to demonstrate change management skills

    • Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing demands

    • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple ongoing projects at once
