Chromium-Free Corrosion Protection
Elinor chromium-free primer for aluminum alloys preserves the substrate via patented active sacrificial protection. This allows a long-lasting and stable defense from degradation and corrosion and exceptional adhesion by using stable magnesium pigment in an epoxy-modified polyamide.
This primer completely eliminates carcinogens from your coating system and helps you meet health and environmental compliance in your operations easily and affordably.
Surface Preparation
Surface must be clean, dry, and in sound condition. Remove all oil, dust, grease, dirt, loose corrosion and other foreign material to ensure adequate adhesion.
Substrate: Aluminum 5000, 6000 series
Substrate Cleaning Options:
Solvent clean, 3M Scotch-Brite® abrade, deionized water rinse to water-break free condition; or
3M Scotch-Brite® abrade, alkaline clean with cleaner such as Turco 5948 or similar to manufacturer’s instructions.
Pretreatment: Pantheon ST-1 per manufacturer's instructions
Mixing Instructions
The quality of the application of all coatings will be influenced by the spray equipment chosen and the temperature, humidity, and air flow of the paint application area. We recommend preparing test panels to determine optimized equipment and settings for your application.
Stir Part A Primer Base Resin until all pigment is uniformly dispersed.
Add Part B Curing Solution to Part A Base Resin.
Stir the catalyzed mixture thoroughly.
Application
Recommended spray settings should be adjusted accordingly to attain uniform coverage. Air-assisted HPLV spray gun recommended.
