Aurora Center for Extreme Weather Materials
Our cutting-edge laboratories and dedicated exposure sites at the Aurora Center for Extreme Weather Materials—a specialized division focused on asset performance in severe weather conditions—ensure your solutions meet rigorous specifications. We back this up with comprehensive ASTM testing, including evaluations following SAE G8 (Coatings Committee) and SAE G9 (Sealants Committee) protocols.
Products
Sustainable Marine Protection
Elinor Coatings provides a diverse range of marine products engineered to meet stringent industry specifications. Our offerings focus on safer, high-performance solutions, notably utilizing chromate-free materials and actively working to remove isocyanates, VOCs, and other toxins from the surface protection process in order to protect applicators, technicians, recyclers, and the environment.

PrimoSeal
Peelable Preservation Coating
Waterborne, one-component, low VOC, UV-resistant polyurethane/acrylic hybrid pigmented coating system. It is designed for limiting aircraft exposure to environmental damage and is easily removable from a wide range of substrates by peeling after full cure, leaving no residue.
MagnaShield
Sealer for Magnesium
MagnaShield is a one-component, low-temperature cured, phenolic epoxy hybrid sealant that is HAPs-free and has low VOC content. It is specifically designed for sealing U.S. MIL-DTL-32459 anodized magnesium substrates used in aerospace applications—such as coating helicopter gearboxes—and is compatible with epoxy primers and CARC topcoats.

Flexible Primer
Expoxy-Polysulfide Primer
Flexible Primer is a non-toxic, chromate-free, HAPs-free, low VOC coating compliant with U.S. MIL-PRF-32239B, Type 2, Class 2, Grade 1. It offers excellent corrosion resistance for aluminum alloys, maintaining 40% impact resistance at room temperature and flexibility down to -51°C. Lab-tested for 2000 hours (following ASTM B117 standards) and field proven for 416 days in corrosive environments, this primer effectively mitigates corrosion on wings and fuselage.
