Surface Pretreatment is a recommended part of the coating process.

  1. Surface should be cleaned from dirt, fouling, and other chemicals.

  2. Surface should be powerwashed if available, if not surface should be washed and rinsed thoroughly.

  3. Allow surface to dry thoroughly.

ZebraShield is a two-component product that needs to be mixed thoroughly prior to application. Care should be taken to avoid mixing air bubbles into the liquids while stirring. A suitably mixed 2 part liquid should be cloudly/opaque in appearance.


Mixing procedure:

With a stir stick, gently mix part A for 5 minutes or until a cloudy/opaque liquid is observed. Add the instructed amount of Part B to the pre-mixed Part A and gently stir for an additional 5 minutes until a uniform appearance and viscosity is observed.

Secure lids promptly after use to preserve components for future applications.


Mixing ratios:

55.2 Part A (Base Resin) to 44.8 Part B (Curing Resin) by volume.

55.4 Part A (Base Resin) to 44.6 Part B (Curing Resin) by weight.

Application

Applicaton

Apply in one coat with a short nap roller to achieve to achieve the required film thickness of 4 mils (100 microns).

Temperature: 50-90°F

Relative Humidity: 35-90%


Properties

Induction Time: 5 minutes

Pot Life: 2 hours

Dry Time: Tack Free - 4 hours minimum, Cured - 6 hours minimum
